<h1>Welcome</h1> <body background="title-background.png" alt="Historical Artifact Collections, Cushing/Whitney Medical Historical Library"> <p>to the on-line database of the Historical Artifact Collections, held at the Harvey Cushing/John Hay Whitney Medical Historical Library, Yale University. <p>The database records artifacts from the Streeter Collection of Weights and Measures, and from the general medical and scientific artifacts collection (in which prepared specimens are considered historical artifacts). <p>Access to it requires a browser that can view frames, such as <a url="http://www.mozilla.com/firefox"/>Firefox</a>. <p>There is a <a href="http://bin.yale.edu/~amk36/cgi-bin/categories.php">frames-free partial search engine</a>, but it is less flexible than this one.
